Nordstrom Rack Ramsey Grand Opening: Our LED Truck Campaign
How Boost Outdoor Media brought the opening message to the storefront and surrounding shopping corridors.

For the Nordstrom Rack grand opening in Ramsey, New Jersey, Boost Outdoor Media brought the launch message beyond the storefront with a three-day LED billboard truck campaign on October 8–10, 2026. We combined opening-morning presence at the new store with a retail-focused route plan built around Ramsey’s Route 17 shopping corridor and nearby communities.
This was a campaign built around one destination: the new Nordstrom Rack store. From the truck beside the opening-day celebration to branded screens in surrounding shopping areas, our approach kept the store opening at the center of the message.
At the Nordstrom Rack Ramsey grand opening
We started the campaign where the opening was happening. Our October 8 schedule reserved 8–10 AM at the Ramsey store, placing the LED billboard truck alongside the grand-opening celebration before the day’s retail route.
The opening-day footage captures that setting: Nordstrom Rack’s storefront, balloons at the entrance, shoppers gathering outside and our truck displaying the campaign creative nearby. Together, those details tell the story of a retail launch in a way a standalone advertising mockup cannot.

Why we built the campaign around Route 17
Our route strategy connected the Ramsey opening with nearby shopping destinations, rather than treating the campaign as a general drive through North Jersey. Route 17 was the backbone of the plan, with Ramsey Square and Interstate Shopping Center among the named retail areas.
For a store opening, the location matters as much as the brand. We wanted the Nordstrom Rack message present both beside the new store and around the places where people were already shopping. Repeated returns to the store area kept that destination central throughout the schedule.
The plan also included Mahwah, Suffern and Oakland. Those nearby communities gave the campaign a broader local focus while keeping it connected to Ramsey—not a disconnected list of towns added for distance.

Our three-day campaign schedule: October 8–10
The campaign ran over three days, with eight hours scheduled each day. Our primary route plan moved from opening-day activity in Ramsey to nearby retail areas, with flexibility for the driver to adjust to traffic and activity.
October 8: opening morning and Ramsey, 8 AM–4 PM
The first two hours, 8–10 AM, were set aside for the celebration at Nordstrom Rack Ramsey. From 10 AM–4 PM, the plan focused on Ramsey, the Route 17 retail corridor, Ramsey Square and Interstate Shopping Center, with repeated passes around the new store.
October 9: Ramsey, Mahwah and Suffern, 11 AM–7 PM
Day two’s route plan followed Route 17 through Ramsey and Mahwah, extended into retail areas in Suffern, New York, and returned through the corridor for additional passes around the Ramsey store. This connected the opening message with nearby shopping areas on both sides of the New Jersey–New York border.
October 10: Ramsey and Oakland, 11 AM–7 PM
The final day’s plan combined Ramsey and Route 17 retail areas with Oakland and the Route 202 area. The afternoon return focused on Interstate Shopping Center and the Nordstrom Rack area, keeping the new store part of the final day’s shopping-area coverage.

A store-centered approach to retail grand-opening advertising
The Ramsey campaign brought together two complementary parts of retail grand-opening advertising: presence at the event itself and mobile visibility around nearby shopping destinations. The opening-morning stop tied the truck directly to the celebration; the multi-day route plan carried that same message into the surrounding retail landscape.
For Boost Outdoor Media, the new store remained the organizing point. Route 17 provided the recurring corridor, nearby towns extended the local focus, and return passes brought the plan back to Ramsey. That is the approach behind this campaign—not just putting a brand on a truck, but shaping the schedule around the location being promoted.
